Virginia Tech is set to host Florida State for a pivotal ACC baseball series this weekend at English Field at Atlantic Union Bank Park in Blacksburg, VA. The three-game series kicks off Friday, April 11 at 6 p.m., followed by games on Saturday at 1 p.m. and Sunday 12 p.m..

The Hokies are looking to use their home field advantage to propel them to a win in this series against the number nine ranked Seminoles. Virginia Tech’s pitching depth has been bolstered by key additions, including Camron LeJeune in the bullpen and Brendan Yagesh from Mount St. Mary’s, who brings flexibility as both a starter and a relief pitcher. Freshman pitcher Jake Marciano also adds depth to the rotation and has shown poise in early-season appearances. Offensively, the Hokies are powered by newcomer David Lewis, a transfer infielder from North Greenville, alongside returning shortstop Clay Grady, who anchors the infield.

Florida State enters the weekend with a strong record and explosive offense. The Seminoles have posted high-scoring wins, including a 14-1 blowout over Miami, but recently dropped a tight contest to in-state Florida rival. Their lineup features several power hitters capable of changing the game.

This series holds major ACC implications as both teams look to gain ground in the standings. For Virginia Tech, defending home turf will be key against a top-tier Florida State line up.

Expect a competitive, high-energy weekend of ACC baseball in Blacksburg that you don’t want to miss. Tune in on ACCNX to watch.
